Over the years, Hillsborough has produced several outstanding wingers; at the moment, Josh Windass and Anthony Musaba could be the greatest wide players Sheffield Wednesday has to offer.
With hopes of avoiding relegation back to League One, the Owls’ season in the second division appears to be shaping up to be a difficult one.

Monsieur Hélan
Hélan first made his way to Manchester City as a teenage player, then to Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town before settling down at Sheffield Wednesday.
After making 28 appearances during his initial loan stint, the adaptable left-sided player—who could play in both midfield and defense—went on to play 43 games as an Owls permanent the following season. Hélan served Wednesday admirably when he was at Hillsborough and was much underappreciated.
After playing 145 games for the team, the winger played an additional 58 times as his playing time decreased in his last season. The Frenchman’s loan transfer to Wolves was intended to give him consistent minutes.
Johnson, Jermaine
At the age of 34, he left a hero’s trail and has long since retired from professional competition after stints in the United States and his home Jamaica.
Michael Forrest
During the 2011–12 season, Antonio was a key player in Sheffield Wednesday’s successful return to the Championship following their previous stint in League One. He joined on loan from Reading and contributed a few crucial goals in the final stretch of the campaign to assist them cross the finish line and guarantee a return to the English second division.
Antonio played as a winger for the Owls and finally secured a permanent contract with Reading after a third bid was granted, despite his current reputation as a forward player. After 84 appearances at South Yorkshire, he would finish his career with 17 goals and 19 assists. He then moved to Nottingham Forest, where he also had a great deal of success.
