NEWCASTLE AND NOTTINGHAM FOREST TOLD £13M JANUARY TRANSFER IS ‘NOT AN OPTION’

Premier League teams Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United are interested in acquiring the Bundesliga striker Marvin Ducksch, but Werder Bremen has decided against moving him during the January transfer window.

Werder Bremen seems hesitant to forfeit Marvin Ducksch’s final-third skills, even after losing Niclas Fullkrug, the Bundesliga’s (shared) Golden Boot winner, to Borussia Dortmund just a few months prior.

The 29-year-old late bloomer Ducksch, who made his debut for Germany this month, took over from Fullkrug after an incredible campaign that attracted the attention of Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United (Sky’s Christian Falk and BILD).

But such interest means very little to Clemens Fritz, the sports director of Werder. He claims that Ducksch will finish the season where he started it. in Weserstadion.

This season, the £13 million-rated Ducksch has already contributed 10 goals to the Bundesliga. He was included in Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for the November international break thanks to his incredible free kick against Wolfsburg a few weeks earlier, which even managed to clip the woodwork on its way in.

The Werder Bremen star, Ducksch, makes his Germany debut.

He adds just the right amount of chaos that we need. The former manager of RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich tells BuliNews, “He can be very valuable.”

With his efforts, he has contributed to Bremen’s stabilisation and currently has an excellent record. He finishes well and has excellent set pieces.

Ducksch’s adaptability is another important quality, in addition to his great ball-striking skill and nasty deadballs. Although he enjoyed playing off the targetman Fullkrug last season, Ducksch has flourished as a center-forward this season. It’s easy to picture him wreaking his special brand of havoc alongside a Taiwo Awoniyi or Callum Wilson.
