NRLW: Sydney Roosters, NRLW captain Corban Baxter announces her pregnancy |  NRL.comThe NRLW vice captain Corban Baxter’s contract has been extended by the Sydney Roosters for an additional three years, and the team is excited about this news.

Baxter, one of the most decorated players in women’s rugby league, will continue to play for just one club thanks to the signing. Being the first captain of the Roosters to lift the NRLW Premiership trophy has also left her mark on the team’s history.

After the birth of her youngest son in 2023, Baxter rejoined the NRLW. The signing for the foundation participated in all ten games and scored seven tries.

Being a fierce and adaptable player, Baxter has excelled at the highest levels of the game, playing for the Australian Jillaroos, leading the New Zealand Māori All Stars, and representing New South Wales in State of Origin.

“I’m ecstatic to travel further with my Chookies family. I’m really proud to be a part of this team for the next three years because the Roosters club means a lot to me,” Baxter said.

“John Strange, the head coach of the Roosters NRLW, said that it’s great to have Cornwall locked into our long-term plans because she leads with her actions and her words, and her work ethic, leadership, and passion for the game make her a key member of our squad.”
