After Round 6, Jaimee Lambert received a large number of coaches’ votes, adding to her successful first season as a Saint.

The two-time All-Australian received four votes each from coaches Nick Dal Santo and Bec Goddard for her outstanding performance against Hawthorn, which led the Saints to their third straight victory of the season. Jaimee Lambert’s outstanding debut season for St. Kilda has been further recognized through this week’s latest coaches’ votes, snagging eight votes in lieu of her commanding performance.

It’s the fifth time Lambert has received coaches’ votes this season, bringing her total to 27, 15 more than St. Kilda’s second-placed Jesse Wardlaw. Emily Bates’ performance, however, was deemed best-afield by both coaches with a flawless 10 votes, followed by captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd and Charlotte Ba. Nat Exon (five votes) snagged her first accolades for the season off the back of her two-goal outing.

Lambert has now garnered coaches’ votes five times this year, giving her a total of 27, 15 more than Jesse Wardlaw, who finished in second place for St. Kilda. But with a perfect 10 votes, both coaches chose Emily Bates’ effort as the best on the field, followed by Charlotte Ba and captain Tilly Lucas-Rodd. Due to her two goals, Nat Exon (five votes) received her first awards of the season.

Round AFLW Indigenous

The AFLW, which will take place between rounds seven and eight, will honor and commemorate the contributions made by women and girls from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to Australian Rules football and the general community.

The GIANTS will wear their special “Ngurra” jumper in their round eight home game against Carlton at Henson Park, as will all 18 teams, as part of the celebrations.

Due to a clash between the Giants’ “Ngurra” jumper and St. Kilda’s Indigenous jumper, the GIANTS will wear their traditional uniform against the Saints on Saturday.
