Boxing: Joshua Will Be Ranked #1 After Victory Against Ngannou…
If Anthony Joshua defeats Francis Ngannou, he will be eligible to fight Tyson Fury for the WBC world heavyweight title.
In just his second boxing match, Joshua will make a comeback on March 8 in Saudi Arabia against former UFC champion Ngannou.
“He has had a sensational career and if he beats Francis Ngannou, then he is number one in the WBC while Francis Ngannou is number 10 so the winner will certainly be positioned for great things in the immediate future,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said to Gambling.com.
In order to fight Fury in his boxing debut last year, Ngannou had to put his MMA career on hold. And unbelievable enough, he was knocked down, only to lose by a contentious split decision.
Three weeks later, Joshua, 34, challenges Ngannou, 37.
