The Argentine midfielder has seen his minutes limited in recent weeks
Southampton manager Russell Martin recently suffered an unfavorable decision about player Charly Alcaraz at St. Mary’s and is currently facing another significant challenge.
The Argentine has started the club’s past four Championship games from the bench, despite being one of the most well-known players Saints managed to retain onto for this season after being demoted.
Charly Alcaraz, a standout for Southampton
After joining the Saints in January from Racing Club, Alcaraz made 18 Premier League games, scoring four goals and dishing out two assists. It’s safe to say there was a lot of anticipation as he began the current season wearing a Saints uniform.
Even better was that after September 1st, when several other Southampton players had left, including James Ward-Prowse, Nathan Tella, and Romeo Lavia, the young South American was still a member of the team.
