Latest Aston Villa news from BirminghamLive as Unai Emery receives boost ahead of Tottenham clash.
Jacob Ramsey has returned to first-team group training ahead of Aston Villa’s trip to Tottenham this weekend.
The 22-year-old suffered a reoccurrence of the foot injury which kept him out for 10 weeks. As a result, Ramsey has only made three appearances off the bench in matches against Legia Warsaw, Chelsea and Brighton.
Prior to the international break, head coach Unai Emery said: “We are patient with them because they are progressing very well. The last step they didn’t do being available to play two or three weeks ago. Jacob Ramsey we stopped him as well. He had a small injury again. Now we have to do the steps ahead with him being clear that he is going to be coming back 100 per cent in the level we need.”
In a short clip posted by Villa on Thursday, Ramsey is spotted training on the grass along Ezri Konsa and Lucas Digne.
The post prompted several responses from supporters on social media, and here’s what they said…

At this stage, it is unclear whether Ramsey will be fully fit to play against Spurs. Emery is expected to give an update during his press conference on Friday.
