Sport reports that the Catalan giants would make an attempt to sign the Real Betis player during the January transfer window. In the summer, he was a wanted man, and his contract expires in 2024.

Since 2020, Rodriguez has been a part of Betis. He joined the club after leaving Mexico’s top division team America, and during his tenure there, he helped the La Liga team win the Copa del Rey.

But now they could have to struggle to keep hold of him. Forest believed they had a decent chance of acquiring him in the summer, but Barcelona will make a very alluring offer.

Forest-linked Barcelona is now looking for Rodriguez.
Rodriguez has quality, according to a previous statement made by Spanish writer Jonas Giaever. He has lauded him for his “rugged and tough” demeanor as well as his decisive approach to tackling.

Rodriguez currently plays a crucial role for Betis. He has participated in all five of the club’s 2023–24 games and has played 149 times for the team

However, Forest have recently introduced those characteristics to Sangare. Ryan Yates, who they also have, can offer some of those attributes in the upcoming season.

Rodriguez was perhaps the perfect target for Forest because he was a less expensive option than Sangare. However, it’s difficult to envision Forest moving forward with signing the 29-cap star in January now that they’ve signed the Ivorian.
