when another seven minutes, Erling Haaland doubled the advantage, and City appeared to be in complete control. Foden told Match of the Day, “I’ve been building a great relationship even at the national team, and we work really well together.” “I hadn’t scored for City yet this year, so I’ve been pinching myself a little bit.

“I had to keep choosing the correct runs and locations, and I knew it would happen. Thankfully, I had a good catch today, and I was happy with the outcome.

Early on, City were poised to repeat their 6-0 thrashing of Forest from the previous season, but the loss of Rodri proved to be a setback. He was given a straight red card for a needless collision with Gibbs-White by his own corner flag when it was determined that he had grabbed the midfielder by the throat.

Although Gibbs-White’s fall was protracted and dramatic, Rodri seldom lost his cool. Foden stayed quiet about what he observed despite being pretty near to the fight.

He smiled sarcastically and replied, “It’s hard to say. “I haven’t yet reviewed it. I just witnessed a little altercation, but I don’t know what transpired, so I’ll have to watch it again.
