Who played and who didn’t in the Denver Broncos’ first win of the season over the Chicago Bears.
The Denver Broncos won a game. The offense played fairly well and the defense decided to show up in the second half in an excellent comeback win over the Chicago Bears.

Both Russell Wilson and the entire offensive line participated in the entire contest. However, the Bronco offensive line made five false starts. Ben Powers was the only starting offensive lineman who didn’t make a false start. Two belonged to Mike McGlinchey. With 33 penalties, the Broncos now have the second-most in the league. Both Arizona and Carolina have 34.
On none of the plays in this game did we deploy six offensive linemen.
The Miracle in Motown deserves a deep rewind
Samaje Perine received 22 snaps, Jaleel McLaughlin received 16 snaps, while Javonte Williams only played eight snaps prior to getting hurt. FB Mike Burton participated in 11 snaps. Despite being present, Dwayne Washington didn’t take any offensive snaps.
Again, Adam Trautman received 42 of the tight end snaps, Chris Manhertz received half of those, and Nate Adkins received one-seventh of those (sorry to have you do the math).
Courtland Sutton again got the most WR snaps with 40 while Jerry Jeudy got 30. Marvin Mims and Brandon Johnson both got 17 while LJ Humphrey got 10.
The only two players who did not play at all were Jarrett Stidham and Cam Fleming.

Patrick Surtain and Alex Singleton were the only players to participate in every defensive snap. Delarrin Turner-Yell played all but two snaps while Damarri Mathis played all but one.
Mathis has allowed a passer rating of 149.5 thus far this season. He has been covering a player who has caught 20 of 22 targets for 228 yards and three touchdowns. This would make me laugh (or cry), but DTY has been worse. After allowing 11 catches on 12 targets for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns, he has a quarterback rating of 158.3 (also known as a perfect passer rating).
Other DBs who got defensive snaps are Ja’Quan McMillian (43), Fabian Moreau (11), and the just released Essang Bassey (7).
The other ILB who got snaps this game was Drew Sanders, who played 57 defensive snaps and only ran himself out of the play on half of them (that’s improvement over the previous game).
At OLB Jonathon Cooper got the most snaps with 62 while Randy Gregory got 47 and Nik Bonitto got 33. Thomas Incoom got one.
Zach Allen and Jonathan Harris played the most DE snaps with 62 and 45, while Elijah Garcia and Matt Henningsen got 13 and 12.
DJ Jones played 47 as the only healthy IDL who got defensive snaps.
Players who who played 17 or more special teams snaps but did not play on offense or defense were: Tremon Smith, Justin Strnad, Riley Moss, Ben Niemann and Dwayne Washington.
