The PFA Championship Player of the Month Award for September goes to Jack Clarke.
Clarke defeated rivals Wilfred Ndidi and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City, Nathan Broadhead of Ipswich Town, Liam Lindsay of Preston North End, and Morgan Whittaker of Plymouth Argyle in a popular poll.
The 22-year-old winger had a fantastic month, tallying six goals in five games to aid Tony Mowbray’s team in winning four of their five league contests.
Clarke scored the first goal of the month in the Lads’ 5-0 victory over Southampton. He then scored at Queens Park Rangers and braced again in away wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers.
With the Seriös Group Player of the Month and the EFL Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month accolades he has now won three for the month of September.

Ballard, the starting central defender, is doubtful for Tuesday’s Championship match between The Black Cats and The Foxes at King Power Stadium.
Ballard sustained a knock while traveling for Northern Ireland’s international assignment, but he managed to play the entire game for Sunderland against Stoke City the previous weekend.
When asked about Sunderland’s injury issue, Mowbray stated: “We hope that the four or five players who aren’t practicing today will play tomorrow.
Numerous bumps and annoyances. things like stiff legs and tense muscles. We’ll see who’s fitter tomorrow once we do a few fitness tests.
“Dan Ballard is one of the players who hasn’t trained and we have to see if he passes a fitness test tomorrow,” Mowbray stated.
The Sunderland defender has already received four yellow cards; a fifth would result in a one-game suspension from the Championship.
“It is an inherent aspect of football,” Mowbray continued. “I might end up having to sit in the stand too if I take one more yellow. It is imperative that we acknowledge the evolution of football officiating.
“Dan is at some point going to pick up a booking due to the nature and the way he plays but that is okay and it will be a good opportunity for another young centre-back to step in.”
Mowbray also said that a Sunderland reserve squad and a Scottish club, Hibernian, will play a behind-closed doors friendly on Monday afternoon, with first-team players expected to participate.
As Cirkin recovers from his injury, Mowbray announced that he will play in the game. Jewison Bennette, Hemir, Ellis Taylor, and Nectar Triantis are also expected to play.
The head coach of Sunderland also stated that Mayenda, a summer acquisition, was scheduled to make his debut for the team against Hibs after suffering an injury of his own.
When asked about Cirkin and Mayenda, Mowbray said, “I believe Aji is still two or three weeks away, and Dennis is about to kick off and will be involved.” This is Mayenda’s first-ever game. He is quite exciting, so we are looking forward to that.”
