Former Rangers player Joey Barton speaks out following his dismissal.

Joey Barton, an ex-rangers midfielder, was fired by English League One team Bristol Rovers, citing that he “did not always get every decision right.”

With just one victory in the previous five games and the team sitting 16th in the English third division, the 41-year-old Englishman was relieved of his responsibilities at Memorial Stadium.

After firing Joey Barton from his second top management position, Bristol Rovers praised him for his service to the team and wished him luck in his future endeavors in a message to the faithful.

Following the announcement, the former Rangers player congratulated the Bristol Rovers supporters on the now-defunct Twitter, but in typical fashion he also said that he had left the team in better shape than when he had arrived.

Reads the post on X:

“What a trip our club has been on. My family and I will never forget the days we had that 7-0 triumph, earned a promotion, and made some incredible experiences.

“To the fans, I really appreciate your patience as I made mistakes in judgment but always did it with the best of intentions.

“This club is in a much stronger position than when I arrived, and most importantly, it is in an amazing position to move forward.”

Joey Barton, a former Rangers star, was fired by Bristol Rovers.
When Joey Barton left Rangers in 2016 after a brief stay, he has continued to be a source of controversy and criticism.

As he struggled in Glasgow, the former Burnley midfielder, who had joined as Mark Warburton’s star post-Premiership promotion acquisition in the summer, was all talk.

The midfielder was terminated from his Glasgow contract after being at the center of a now-famous altercation with Mark Warburton after Celtic crushed them 5-1.

Since then, there have been many soundbites, and in my opinion, the former midfield player has never quite produced enough to be acting with such aggressive confidence in pretty much any respect.
