In the Tuesday night’s 86th minute of the victory, the defender went down while attempting to stop a high ball.

After being removed, Carlos Corberan disclosed that he would get a scan on Wednesday and may miss several weeks or perhaps months of time due to injury.

It is the most recent in a string of serious injuries Albion has had recently.

Conor Townsend, who is ill, and Semi Ajayi, who hurt his ankle in Saturday’s draw with Plymouth, were both out for Albion.

“It’s not the best news with him, or the injuries we are having,” Corberan clarified. Ajayi was injured in his ankle during the final ten minutes of the game on the previous Saturday.

“Townsend wasn’t involved today; he was unwell. Kipre appears to have suffered a catastrophic injury; on Wednesday, we’ll learn more.

“I’m not sure if it will take months or weeks. We must determine the extent of this game’s drawback, which is the loss of a player.

Many of our athletes are leaving, yet they are leaving due to non-muscular ailments. Losing guys that limit the team’s prospects is unpleasant.”

Speaking about Ajayi’s injuries in more detail, Corberan stated that it would be a miracle if the defender could make the trip to Coventry City.

“When he arrived at training on Monday, he was unable to walk,” he continued. He rotated his ankle ligament. If he is prepared for Coventry, it truly will be a miracle.

A large number of our athletes are quitting, but their reasons aren’t related to physical concerns. It’s painful to lose players that limit the team’s potential.”

More specifically, Corberan said that it would be miraculous if the defender could go to Coventry City given Ajayi’s injury.

“When he arrived at training on Monday, he was unable to walk,” he said. He twisted the ligament in his ankle. It’ll be a real miracle if he’s ready for Coventry.

The news about Kipre is devastating for Albion and Corberan, since the defender has been playing brilliantly since joining the team again in the summer.

“He’s an important player,” the Spaniard continued.

“We are working with him a lot to make sure his concentration is always high, but he has some very good conditions as a player – that’s why he’s playing, it’s why we believe in him and that’s why it’s a pity to lose any player, but to lose someone playing in the first XI is even harder.”
