Real Madrid plan to go all out for Mbappe in 2024, Haaland could be Plan B – report

Journalist Romain Molina claims that Real Madrid intends to make a major push for Kylian Mbappe in the summer of 2024, and that if they are unsuccessful in their pursuit, they will only consider Erling Haaland. “Florentino Perez wants a big name No. 9 next year,” he stated on his YouTube channel. “Real Madrid want to go all out for Kylian Mbappe in 2024. Haaland could be plan B.” Mbappe will be able to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after his current contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
The main goal Mbappe seemed destined to move to Real Madrid back in 2022, but an unexpected change of heart led him to ink a fresh contract with PSG instead. However, the Frenchman signed only a two-year contract until 2024 with an optional third year, and now he does not intend to carry on until 2025, making him available for free next summer. Recent reports suggest that the club has become less determined to prevent this scenario.

Mbappe may stay on at PSG.
Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid in 2024 is only contingent upon PSG’s performance in the UEFA Champions League.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi promised the Frenchman that he would surround Mbappe with a strong club that continuously strives for Champions League triumph in May 2022.

But after a disastrous first year of his contract, the second year—which is currently being played by Luis Enrique—offers the chance for improvement and a new beginning.

And should that occur, Madrid will take advantage of the provision in Haaland’s contract that permits them to sign him in 2024 for a sum that ranges from €180 million to €200 million.
