Ange Postecoglou, the manager, would prefer that the forward remain at Tottenham.

Spurs would only approve a deal if the proposal was at least £60 million.

In 47 games, Richarlison has only managed five goals and seven assists.Although Tottenham Hotspur would need to make a sizable offer before considering a sale in January, Richarlison is a transfer target for Saudi Pro League teams, as 90min knows.

The Brazil international has struggled to find his best form since joining Spurs from Everton in 2022 in a deal that could yet reach £60m if add-ons are met. He has registered just five goals and seven assists in 47 matches across all competitions.

Richarlison started the 2023–24 season as a centre forward after Harry Kane was sold, but he has spent the most of the year playing on the left side for Tottenham. Though Brennan Johnson, a summer acquisition, has looked promising in his place after he underwent groyne surgery in November, he is still anticipated to play a significant role for an injured Spurs team over the hectic holiday season.

While 90min is aware that Richarlison’s manager, Ange Postecoglou, is not in a rush to declare him finished and approve his departure, the team is also aware that it would be difficult to reject a sizable offer if one were to come in.

Richarlison has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in recent months, and though the Pro League are not looking to make many marquee signings during the January window, the 26-year-old is among their current targets.

Tottenham is unlikely to consent to a deal, though, until they are able to recover at least the whole £60 million that they originally paid to bring Richarlison to north London.

Last month, 90min said that Spurs are still debating whether to pursue Jota, a winger for Al Ittihad who is now playing in Saudi Arabia and was once under Postecoglou at Celtic. Newcastle United is keeping tabs on his circumstances as well.
