REPORT: Four-star Texas A&M transfer is scheduled to visit Texas football.

Is it possible for Steve Sarkisian and the Texas football team to lure Tyanthony Smith away from Mike Elko’s Texas A&M team?

For rising young talent Tyanthony Smith, no victories away from home were simply not good enough. Jimbo Fisher’s subsequent departure might have been yet another major red flag for him. He has now formally declared his intention to flip his commitment and leave Mike Elko’s Texas A&M football programme. Although many college scouts are pursuing him once more, it appears that Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian and his team are in the lead in the pursuit of the linebacker.

Texas Football: 4-Star A&M OT commit officially visiting for KU game

According to Gerry Hamilton of On 3 Sports, Tyanthony Smith will be paying a visit to the Texas football programme soon. He was expected to visit the facilities as soon as he made his NCAA Transfer Portal selection. However, the planned visit to Steve Sarkisian’s team was cancelled last month. Then he would be committed to Mike Elko’s Texas A&M but stuck in limbo.

The Longhorns could definitely benefit from Smith’s skill as a defender in the future. With 19 tackles for loss, he recorded 217 tackles. If he also happens to support the Texas football team, quarterbacks might shudder. Throughout his time in high school, he had won three sacks. If Sarkisian decides to wear the recognisable uniform, he will undoubtedly get a top-notch linebacker.

As the college football season comes to an end, Sarkisian is gradually strengthening his Texas football secondary. Another successful attempt at commitment flipping was Wardell Mack. He had originally intended to play for the Florida Gators, but the Longhorns were able to entice him in with their recruiting skills.

Though nothing is finalised just yet, the Longhorns appear to have a promising future. Has their future linebacker finally been found?
