Before the match against Coventry City, Daniel Farke makes a possible selection hint for Leeds United.

Leeds sources: Daniel Farke set to take over as boss today

Is Daniel Farke inclined to make any changes for Leeds United’s match against Coventry City today?

On Saturday afternoon, Leeds United takes on Coventry City at Elland Road in an attempt to extend their winning streak to eight games at home under Daniel Farke’s leadership.

With two games left before Christmas for Farke’s team, they have a potentially pivotal run of games during the holiday season. Mark Robins’ Coventry and Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town are the two teams they will be playing at home.

This lunchtime, Ipswich takes on Norwich City in the inaugural East Anglia derby of the season. The race for automatic promotion should become even more evident during this run for the Whites, as Ipswich also plays the league-leading Leicester in their next three games.

Before that stunning run of form abruptly ended with a subpar performance away to Sunderland, which was punished with a 1-0 defeat, Leeds had won nine of the previous eleven league games.

Farke will be without a natural left-back once more this week as there are no new injury concerns in his squad. However, given the team’s performance in the North East defeat and several subpar players, he may be inclined to rotate in other positions.

It might be improbable, since Farke’s team has won seven straight and lost none of its ten home games at Elland Road, making them the only Championship team still undefeated thus far. Additionally, he has mostly settled on a stable starting lineup of late.

In response to the notion of altering his team, Farke said in his pre-game press conference, “Not out of the loads and because of this turnaround.” There is absolutely no issue with the four-day turnaround between the games.

If my players weren’t ready to play (after) four days, I wouldn’t have trained properly, at the very least not to begin a game. That turnaround time of Tuesdays and Saturdays is not at all problematic.

“In general, I think it’s important to use the entire team, but I don’t think it’s good to play a game in which you constantly switch and never settle into a rhythm.

“It’s more or less to use the whole squad over the course of the whole season.”
