Top Championship clubs are interested in signing a striker, and West Ham is open to offers.

West Ham: Danny Ings exit update as new striker wanted

Football Insider reports that West Ham United will permit striker Danny Ings to leave the team in January if the proper offer is made, and that top Championship teams are keeping an eye on his circumstances.

This season, Ings has only made 15 appearances for the Hammers across all competitions, nine of which have been in the Premier League. But he has only started four of those, and he hasn’t scored in any of his previous appearances.

Now that he is older—31—and probably wants to experience playing somewhere else, David Moyes, the manager, is prepared to entertain bids for the striker and even consider selling if the right team makes an offer.

Football Insider reports that a number of teams at the top of the Championship are reportedly interested in the England international. However, Ings is being closely watched by teams in the top flight in addition to the Championship interest. But the report doesn’t specifically mention any clubs.

It is not surprising that there is so much interest in Ings because he is an accomplished professional who has competed in both the Championship and the Premier League.

But since he is probably going to want to compete as hard as he can, teams interested in the second tier might find it difficult to compete against those in the division above.

There aren’t many teams in the Championship that are in dire need of a striker, according to an analysis of the top clubs. Returning to Southampton is a possibility, but it’s likely he would rather remain in the Premier League, even if it meant playing for a team that was in danger of relegation.
