Speaking from Rangers’ winter training camp in La Manga following his team’s 1-0 loss to Hertha Berlin, the manager also spoke on Ridvan Yilmaz’s future and an odd red card that happened shortly after halftime.

Clement stated that everyone is seeking for someone who can “provide something extra” as they strive for additional hardware between now and the end of the season, even though he was hesitant to give a number on how many players the Ibrox side are hoping to add to the team.

“January is always a challenging month in that sense, but the team is working incredibly hard to bring players here.” I’m not sure how much it would cost because I know from experience that you can never get everything you desire.

“Maybe the wealthiest teams in the world could pull that off, but not teams like the Rangers. Although it is considerably simpler in the summer, we will still strive to make it as good as we can during this time.

Ridvan Yilmaz is one player who is allegedly getting closer to leaving Ibrox. Missing the chance to deny rumors, Clement maintained that the left-back, who began his career in La Manga, is only here temporarily.

“It’s the same as the situation with the rumours about players coming in,” Clement added.

“Players are here as long as they haven’t signed with another team.”

 

During their winter training camp in Spain, the Rangers manager has expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance. After days of double practices and rigorous effort, he started the 90 minutes against Hertha with two alternative starting lineups. Still, Clement was issued a straight red card and had to watch a significant portion of the second half away from the touchline. The Belgian was given a straight red card for his protests after challenging a refereeing call.

Upon being dismissed, he remarked, “I don’t even want to talk about it; it’s not important.”

“We have been training really hard up until this point, and the game was just a part of this training week. I was curious as to how we could play if we were so exhausted.

Well, the scoreline, but for the time being that isn’t the most important thing to me. For me, the most important thing is that the team be together for the entire week, perform well, and be physically prepared to take the next steps in the coming weeks.

We are attempting to reintegrate veteran players like Nico and get them up to speed on the game. Including the young guys in the team was a fantastic idea as well. However, I always want to prevail, and their goalie made some excellent saves.
