Valentin Barco, who has confirmed he has already signed with the south coast club, could make his Brighton debut at Sheffield United later this month.

The 19-year-old has subsequently finished his medical, and it is believed that the Seagulls and Boca Juniors agreed on a $10 million (around £8 million) fee for him. Although the club has not yet provided an official statement, Barco has already announced his impending move.

Since entering the main squad three years ago, Barco, an Argentine under-23 international, has started 35 games at the club level and has been a consistent starter for Boca. Despite losing to Fluminense in the Copa Libertadores final the previous year, he drew attention.
