The Green Bay Packers will have 11 selections in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Green Bay’s needs for this draft season will be running back, safety, cornerback, and offensive line. General manager Brian Gutekunst has done a very nice job over the past couple of seasons finding talent through the NFL Draft.
They are possibly a year away from being a serious Super Bowl contender. Matt Schneidman of The Athletic did a seven-round mock draft for the Packers on Monday. He only has the Packers taking one running back for now in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The running back he has the Green Bay Packers taking is Marshawn Lloyd from USC in the fourth round with the 126th overall pick.
Reason been that Schneidman gave as to why Green Bay would make this selection then is because:
“It would be a surprise if the Packers re-sign AJ Dillon, so they’ll probably need a new backup for Aaron Jones. That could be either 2023 undrafted free agent Emanuel Wilson, who flashed promise as a rookie out of Division II Fort Valley State, or someone they draft. Lloyd spent two years at South Carolina before transferring to USC, where he ran for 7.1 yards per carry on 116 rushes last season while catching 13 passes for 232 yards. He caught 18 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns the season prior for the Gamecocks.”
